Do you think Google Social search will get traction

Google social search gives us another way to be social. It allows you to store, sites you are linked to and customise your search using your connections.

I just finished updating my Google Social page, I will see how many of my friends or connections do this. The promise sounds great that I get to see what my friends recommend.
Do you think this will work, do you care that your friends found this useful or searched for it? I am thinking for me it depends on the domain they are in. I know if some areas I make some really bad choices that I would not want my friends to replicate.
