Why does this community exist?

Why we exist?
To forge the future of social networks from the perspective of people who manage, create, pay-for or run them.

Why create a group?
For a long time now I have wanted to discuss various ideas to ensure that communities get better and better. As a believer in making good use of time I hate to see the waste when people re-invent the wheel.
As all of us here are involved in professionally or about to create a social network it seems like a perfect opportunity to discuss and share.

Sharing
Of course, the level of sharing is up to you, after all we all need to earn a living so you may want to keep something back. That is completely fine.

The Five Rules.

1. You need to be on Linked in to be a member (for vetting, sorry).
2. Only post your own copyrighted material or material you are willing to share.
3. Be kind, you may not know some stuff at one point.
4. Imagine when you type a message the person is physically next to you.
5. Join in. You get out what you put in.
