The Social Media Professional Community

Do anyone know about any peer-reviewed academic articles on social media?

I am writing a master thesis on social media and brand management now, and is in the process of closing up the litterature review. The articles I have found so far are mainly business press articles from HBR and Sloan Management Review on online communities. If these are of interest by the way, I can check with the sources if I can upload the articles, but I am afraid I can only state the names of them so you can access them if you have access.

The articles are:

- Four Smart Ways To Run Online Communities (Williams and Cothrell in Sloan MNGR, 2000)
- Building Stronger Brands through Online Communities (McWilliam in Sloan MNGR, 2000)
- The Real Value of On-line Communities (Armstrong and Hagell 3 in HBR 1996)

Also Mangold and Faulds have an interesting and more recent (2009) article in ScieneDirect called "Social Media: The new hybrid element of the promotion mix". This one is good reading.

Thank you Magnus,

I hope some of the community take you up on the offer.

Can you post this in the Linkedin community group "Social Media Professional too" as Starr Hall might know of some.
